I will take away the chariots from Ephraim

and the warhorses from Jerusalem,

and the battle bow will be broken.

He will proclaim peace to the nations.

All through this long explanation, we see nothing less than an angel’s revelations from God to Zechariah for a people floundering but on the edge of  flourishing. These prophecies will fire their imaginations to work for what God alone can create, and these prophecies are a clear message from God. It is now known that God loves Israel, God is for Israel, and God will redeem Israel. But keep in mind that redemption here is not limited to “getting saved.” Redemption is whole-nation-whole-body redemption.
